Mr Sheriff I received by News your bailiff yesternight last
notice of a Jury to be impanelled Concerning Certain lands of mine
lying in Tipton. the service to be done on Thursday next. the matter
Concerns me very much. the lands lying in a park under my
house side, now the time being so short, my request is that it
may please you to do me the favor to stay the proceeding of the
Cause until the next vacation, against which time I shall be ready
for the same, which kindness if it please you I rest myself to requite
at my house at Himley this 14th of January 1603

Good Mr Sheriff let me desire
