Good cousin God be with us I have sent Sir John Harper's Letter
where in you may understand. he will not
demand the Rent of Phillip Eaton. yet is
he willing he should be tenant to it still.
I beseech you demand the Rent. at this
Lady Day. he hath been an evil tenant. for
with out Leave he hath fallen 2 trees. I have
for this year yielded my consent to Sir John Harper. that
Eaton shall have it paying to you and Mr Egerton
the rent but unless he be a better tenant. this
year I will cause him Look elsewhere. and so
with my kindest commendation. to your good self
and my cousin your wife. I end committing you
to God

Jane Ashely:

I have promised to demand the rent betwixt this and Easter
there is Received by my father
before his death. 20 pound for this
year Last past. now due this Rent
day but 10 pound
