Madam, I received your Ladyship's letters when I was at dinner
and in the evening when I was going to supper I received
the letters enclosed, whereby you may at large perceive so much
as I can certify or direct you touching the business
enjoined wherein I am at the further devotion and good pleasure
of Sir Humphrey and yourself if so you think f[◇]
all my possible endeavours. And even so with my duty
loving Commendations to you both I remain yours [◇]
and firmly devoted

Lichfield the 11th December.

The waters have so long detained
my footman as he saith: which I
verily believe. let me know your
pleasure when I shall go, and
I will provide myself and be ready
And so with hearty thanks for all your
kindness I take leave:
