Right worshipful our humble duties remembred. wheras the
porer sorte of the Towne of Brinton haue bene often inst
ant vppon vs, whose names are vnderwritten, to become sutors
to your worship that sume one sufficient man might obteyne licence
of your worship. to victell & drawe beare, whereby they might
be provided ffor, by the penny as they weare able to ffetch
yt: May yt now please your worship by vs to be aduertised,
that the bearer herof (Nicholas Kendall) of the same
towne: ys a man of honest behavior among vs, and of
good name, and of good indifferent livelihode, able to
make provision for to supply the want of the porer sorte,
and to giue contentment of interteinment to the Stranger,
of which complementes we knowe not any other in the sayd
Towne, eyther that desireth the place at this instant, or wold
accept yt yf yt weare offered. In which regarde we haue
the rather at this present, humbly offered our mediation
to your worship in this bearers behalffe. And so in all duty
very humbly commend your worship. to the protection of the All=
mightie. Brinton the 16th of Ianuary 1609.
