I have sent this bearer for my two whelps
it hath pleased you to bestow upon me
I am entreated to meet Mr High Sherriff
tomorrow at Newcastle touching the benevolence
I pray you give me but a touch
in a line or two what the Country did and
what course you did take that being all of
one hundred we may run one and the same
course so with the remembrance of my love
to yourself and my good Cousin your bedfellow
I rest
Your Kinsman and ever
Loving friend
Thomas Crompton
