Noble Sir
it is the duty of this paper if it were possible
to alleviate your too just grief, or at least to assure
you how great a part we bear you with you in it. &
to hope that you & my Lady by your great wisdom &
prudence have by this time so moderated it that this messenger
be may assure us too that you have not impaired
your healths nor made yourselves uncapable of those
other great comforts which God is pleased to let you enjoy
in your son & his Lady, to whom we are servants, & those
other hopeful pledges of his love. & that your friends may
have occasion again to rejoice with you in those enjoyments
& in the multiplying of then: among whom as I have already,
so none shall bear a greater share nor more heartily wish
it then my wife who says all this with me & by me who am ennobled
in being

December 31 1671
Noble Sir
your most faithfully &
humble servant
Henry Archbold
